Date: c. AD 49–52. Paul's appearance before Gallio, proconsul of Achaia c. AD 51–52 according to an inscription at Delphi, anchors this journey.

Kept by the Holy Spirit from speaking the word in Asia and not allowed to enter Bithynia, the travelers pass through Phrygia and Galatia, bypass Mysia and come down to Troas.

## Primary Scripture

[Acts 16:6–8 (BSB)](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%2016%3A6%E2%80%938&version=BSB)

16:6 After the Holy Spirit had prevented them from speaking the word in the province of Asia, they traveled through the region of Phrygia and Galatia.

16:7 And when they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not permit them.

16:8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.

## Interpretation and reuse

Narrative order is a reading arrangement, not a proven chronology. Dates retain their stated uncertainty. An identified locality does not establish the exact venue or prove an event. Region extents and routes are illustrative, not surveyed boundaries or ancient roads. Draft material has not completed editorial review.
